Presence
Mass is felt first. The dimensions of each specimen give the whole an almost architectural authority.
Two mineral presences. A rare union. A legacy to pass on.
There are pieces one admires. And others that impose a space around themselves.
The King & Queen of Gondwana bring together two natural bi-color rough tourmalines of monumental scale. Each holds its own character, matter and chromatic language. Together, they form a composition the memory retains as a single whole.
This private presentation is addressed to collectors, institutions and houses who know how to recognize a presence destined to become a signature.
The two specimens are documented separately, and conceived to be presented together, in a single continuous gaze.
“Long before they were named, they were kept together.”
Their story does not rest on their weight alone. It lies in the continuity of their presence: two natural objects kept within the same family collection across generations.
Difference creates dialogue. The King establishes verticality and impact. The Queen answers with the contrast of her faces and the softness of her matrix. Together, they give the space a calm, immediately legible tension.
